  • Approximately 36,000 Texas students and their families move in search of agricultural or fishing work each year?

  • 48 states across the country receive Texas migrant students in their schools?

  • No other state uses the same Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) based curriculum that Texas migrant students use in their home-based school?

  • Children as young as 12 years of age have been reported to work in the fields during the summer months?
