Greetings!

Our annual AMET Conference is quickly approaching, and I am excited to welcome you to the Alamo City for our 2019 AMET Conference: Migrant Today, Leader Tomorrow to be held November 6-8, at the Omni Colonnade Hotel. The Conference Planning Committee has been working hard to bring you inspiring keynote speakers (https://www.ametxorg/copy-of-keynote-speakers) and a wide variety of sessions to equip you with the information and skills you need in order to be successful in serving our migratory families.

On the federal level, AMET is pleased to host GOSOSY (http://www.osymigrant.org/), ESCORT (http://www.escort.org/), and our dear friend, Roger Rosenthal, Executive Director of the Migrant Legal Action Program (https://www.mlap.org/) – to name a few. I am also pleased that TEA will be a strong presence at the conference, sharing information and insights about Title I, Part C: Migrant Education.

In addition, we will take time to recognize our art contest scholarship winner who designed our program cover, our scholarship recipients from around the state, and award recipients nominated by colleagues – just like you! This is also your time to elect the vice president and treasurer for your AMET organization, share feedback during regional meetings, and network, collaborate, and build relationships.

Join me in San Antonio to learn, to grow, and to celebrate one another! (https://www.ametx.org/conference-registration-info)
