Recommendation Letter Tips

Request recommendation letters early. Give the writer at least two-three weeks to write you an outstanding letter.

Get as many recommendation letters as you can.

Save at least one original to make copies from for future applications.

Local scholarships can accept copies. National scholarships should receive original recommendation letters.

Write a thank you note/letter to the person who took time to write the recommendation letter.
