2009 Migrant State Conference Opening General Session
Keynote Speaker
Suzette Quintanilla Arriaga
Suzette Quintanilla was born to Abraham and Marcella Quintanilla. At
a very young age she was introduced to the world of music by her father
and was soon the exclusive drummer for the now famous group “Selena y Los Dinos”. She shared many stages with her siblings Selena and AB Quintanilla
during their long and difficult road to stardom. As a result of their
hard work, Selena y Los Dinos sold over 6 million albums worldwide to
date, and a major movie was released about their lives. Though Suzette
is no longer a musician by profession, she is presently Vice-President
of Q-Productions, Inc. a music production company in Corpus Christi,
and understands the full aspect of the business. She is currently in
the music industry producing music videos, Art Director for CD’s and
DVD’s, and deals with all licensing agreements for Selena Quintanilla and her brothers group The Kumbia All Starz.
