Association for Migrant Educators of Texas -
2010 Annual Conference President's Letter

Dear AMET Members/Conference Participants,

We are morally obligated to come to this 2010 Annual Conference with only the highest of expectations for each and every one of the students we serve.  We are to come open minded with a positive attitude, ready to go back and ultimately inspire and encourage our leaders of tomorrow.

“A Scholarly Vision for Children in the Fields” is a most apropos theme for the migrant students that we are so privileged to serve because we know that children in the fields have the same dreams and aspirations as all other children and we are an integral part in ensuring that those dreams become their reality.

As always, every year we try to make our Annual Migrant Conferences more memorable, more effective, and most inspiring so that when we come to conference-end, we are ready to give back to the children that feed America.  Please round up your colleagues and register for this upcoming event.

Have a wonderful time in this 2010 AMET Conference; network, learn and replenish your own pool of knowledge so that we may continue shaping our future - one student at a time.

AMET President
